I'm Sensing a Trend
I understand that we all have favorites in terms of color. These favorites help stylize our knitting and I think that's really cool. Lately, I have loved dusty blue-ish green-ish teal-ish. It's so Annie. I can't seem to get enough of it, to the point that I almost can't help it. Honestly, I'm getting a little bored with this color family. My knitting seems a little "one note" these days. I usually see color style as a family of colors, not just one color. So I have decided to move on and knit with a larger variety of colors.
Now everything is pinks and plums!
Baby steps. *sigh*

picasso had a blue period....
all pretty!
I'm nearly always orange/red/brown colours. So I'm impressed that you can go to a new family, I'm not sure I could do it ;)
ha; at least you're trying!
Well, it's better to knit with what you love. I'm sure we all have yarn in our stash that is perfectly lovely except the color does nothing for us.
I love the collage of blue, very soothing ;-)
well, that teal-ish blue-ish green looks great on you so..
but wow! that baby surprise jacket is lovely! :)
I go through stages like this too. It's so normal to gravitate to certain colors. I noticed too that the new colors are a beautiful counterpoint to the blue-grays. What about mixing the two??
i know. i look at my projects and stash and it is grey, green, and tan....arggg, loads of it. i am trying to branch out into the blue territory, we will see how it goes. i do love all the projects, though. nothing wrong with the colors you love.
Tee hee! I really enjoyed your illustration of "from one thing to the next." I go through phases of colors, too. Perfectly understandable, but also very funny!
At least you have colors! My knits are all gray lately.
Everytime I see yarn in dusty blue-ish green-ish teal-ish I immediately start thinking of you :-)
At least you like pretty colors! If not for Project Spectrum, I would only knit in black/grey and white!
I do love this shade of blue...
thanks for visiting my blog. Your work is great!
Picasso had a rose period too, consider yourself a knitting genius! Either way, all the knit are gorgeous, and each shade so pretty, I can see how they keep tempting their way into your stash. :)
