Cry Baby

Sit 'n' Knit is on a break. I really enjoy organizing the group and planning events, though this past year has been more of a challenge, with having a baby and all. Thankfully the members have really helped to keep it going. I am taking this time to come back with a bang in September and get most of the fall's events organized. However, I am sad. I miss those weekly get together's, gosh darn it! With all the laughter and stories and knitting progress (or lack of).

So here I sit at home. It's a Sunday afternoon and Hotty Hubby has baby duty. I will be knitting. Alone. After I sit here and blog. Alone.

Plus, I am averaging about 6 comments per blog post and tumbleweeds posing as email in my inbox.

Do I smell?

Seriously, I miss y'all and just because Sit 'n' Knit is on a break, doesn't mean that I am not up for parking my butt somewhere with a glass of ice tea (spiked or not...well, preferably spiked, me thinks.).

And would it kill you to comment?

(Yes, I need attention. I love my knitting buddies. Do you love me?)

giving some comment love, sorry, i read and forget to ever say anything, especially with my two cry babies over here. your little one looks adorable even crying, how old now? i found you via baby bloggy bumpers...or whatever. not much time to knit over here. looking forward to more of yours.

Give yourself a break woman! Having a baby is the hardest thing ever to get adjusted to. In time you will feel more like yourself and will be able to get out more and do more. It's hard at her age. Syd is 3 now and I get out so much more and she is so much easier (minus the tantrums!)
Thinking of you!

Here's to the fall! I'm looking forward to these new events!

I wouldn't mind a casual knit together this week - and with a cocktail - even better!

Indeed--let's get together this week. I haven't seen people in what seems like ages...and I have plenty of yarn to knit!

And your yarn plans look good!

Oh, Annie. You are really being too hard on yourself. Having an infant is incredibly demanding, so believe me, things have to take a back seat. Including knitting.

How's about a super secret (now that I've announced it to the tinterweb) knitting BBQ on campus? Maybe Saturday afternoon?? It'll have to be small so I don't get the security guards all in a twitter but it could be fun. Yarn, fire and alcohol. How could it not be??

I think I have been on a break since finding out I am pregnant. I am really missing knitting with my favorited sit'n knitters. Can't wait till September! I need to get of the knitting and bonding time in before January, when the baby comes....

um yeah so totally miss everyone. Allena keeps promising to teach me cables at the next sit and knit, but there hasn't been one we've both been at (save the stitch & pitch but i wouldn't have been able to concentrate). A few good old fashioned sitting and knitting sessions are needed, especially since the holidays (ahem, what?) are a'coming.

PS - even in the midst of a good cry, the cashew is tres adorable

I think every mommy needs to be babied every once in awhile. Why should they have all the fun?

I'm sure you don't smell(I can't verify that since I'm on the other end of the country, but I'm quite sure you don't) I don't know why I don't comment more often, I know how it bugs me when I don't get any. Cashew is adoreable!

Hey, no crying allowed in blogdom. You need these down times to fully appreciate all the fun times you have knitting with others!

Hey, there! I'm excited to see your Blouson, and that scarf in the previous post is lovely! Have fun making all the gifts -- it's good to prioritize in the event you can't do it all.

Awwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeee I wuv you too Annie! At least you've got to attend an event this year! The year is flying by and I haven't attended not 1 Sit N Knit event. I feel like crapola. Having a kid will do that to you. You just wait until little Annie is older and has her own events to attend! Sigh, but what would we be without them. I can't imagine life at all without my little man.

Even though I have been a member for a short time I have enjoyed the outings I have participated in. I am looking forward to the fall events of Sit'N'Knit.
