Gah - Part II
It's not like I don't have raglan decreases to do.
Or a scarf to finish.
Or heck, heddles to thread.
No, I decided that it would be more fun to spend this rainy, gloomy day bucking my head against a brick wall. Last night while trying on new jeans (hooray!), I decided to try on Blouson. It just doesn't fit right. The bottom pleats are really bothering me and the neckline is too high. It just bugs me. So after seeing a cute sweater in a store the other day, I thought, hey, that looks a lot like Juliet! Hey, I could knit that! Hey, I could knit that and wear it to Rhinebeck!
So today I virtually hopped on over to Zephyr Style and clicked on the pattern and hit that button which says "Buy Now". Yes, please! And up pops Paypal.
Add curse word here: _______
After the lesson with the beads, I thought, note to self - keep a low balance in Paypal account so you don't have to wait for checks to clear. Especially checks written for ridiculously low amounts like $7. When did I remember this note? After I bought my pattern for $5.50. Guess when the check is scheduled to clear? OCTOBER 16.
Sometimes despite waiting for a check to clear, the merchant will send you your item. I have yet to receive my pattern via PDF. I have emailed them asking for an alternative way to send payment so that I can get my pattern like, today. I have yarn! I have needles! Will knit! But I haven't heard back from them yet.
Gah.

maybe someone in blogland can send you a copy in the meantime? you know, i have paypal directly hooked up to my bank account too but if you put in a back-up source of funding (like a credit card) you don't have to wait till checks clear.
May the knitty force be with you as you deal with your severe case of startitis.
I used my Debit Mastercard as my backup Credit Card, and it is linked to the same banking account. Actually, it is the debit card for the account. Maybe you should try that if your ATM card has a Visa or MC logo. I hope it works for you.
If I could, I would share, but since I don't have it, I really can't help, sorry. I feel your pain, I'm guessing that 4 days isn't enough for you to finish a sweater eh ;)
:;groan:: Hope it comes very very soon!
Whatever you wear to Rhinebeck will be stunning, you big silly. As for Blouson--can someone give it first aid with a sewing machine?
